Boulder Shack Climbing Gym was built by a community of climbers, for a community of climbers. We’ve been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement from so many wonderful people, both during the initial build of Boulder Shack and at all times since.
As a reminder of how far we all have come we created a short photo series that show how Boulder Shack climbing centre looked like before we first opened and how it looks NOW (which is April, 2019 as per time of writing). Without you and the amazing support we have received from you, none of this would have been possible. Just look at these photos and see how things have changed! Incredible!

Our goal still remains the same: we try to be as local as possible with everything what we do. From the coffee beans which are being supplied by a local coffee roaster, called So Roast (and loyal customer), to the cakes that are supplied by a local baker. We also strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible, taking recycling seriously as well as providing various dairy free alternatives, such as oat and soy milk. We will soon be introducing healthy and delicious plant based meals, too! Happy days!

All the furniture at Boulder Shack has been bought from local charity shops and the 23 tons of plywood (that you can also see in the photo below) from a local timber merchant. All our skilled tradesmen are from the local area as well.
It is absolutely beautiful to have you all as part of our Boulder Shack climbing community!
Happy climbing! Train hard, climb hard and most importantly have fun!
